Total Variety Network's (TvN) new comedy-drama series "Cheese in the Trap" is gaining popularity in China even before its premiere.

As of November this year, the soap ranked 21st on Weibo's Korean-Japanese TV drama chart with 656 million hits.

This production shows the bizarre love triangle between a typical university student named Hong Seol, Hong's boyfriend Yu Jung and a rival.

Hong Seol is played by the talented actress Kim Go Eun. Hong Seol is a hardworking college girl who lives a hectic life and yet is a little skeptical. Bae Suzy was first offered the lead female role but dropped the production's proposal. She was then replaced by Kim Go Eun.

The dynamic actor Park Hae-Jin portrayed the role of Yu Jung in the drama adaptation. Yu Jung is a senior and known to be as Mr. Perfect in his university. He is good looking, athletic and has a compassionate personality. He seems perfect, but there's something strange about him, something dark that has to be discovered.

Park Hae-Jin is very similar to his character Yu Jung and thus he was very excited on how this drama will be made.

Webtoon's 'Cheese in the Trap' has many enthusiastic fans in Korean and all other parts of Asia especially in China, Thailand and Indonesia. Fans went wild when they heard that production will be made into a drama. It will air on January 4 next year.
