Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster will be released in January 19 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

According to Eurogamer, this should not come as a surprise to fans as earlier, the company revealed that Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster will be coming along with the “Resident Evil” HD Remaster in the “Resident Evil Origins Collection” which will be released on January 22 in Europe.

Players in North America will be reliving the horror earlier as the collection is also released in January 19.

Capcom said in its Unity blog that the game will come with better visuals and enhanced sound effects, promising that the game will once again bring chills to the spine like it has done before.

Digital Spy reports that Resident Evil Zero was originally released 2002 for the Nintendo GameCube. Its story was a prequel to “Resident Evil,” and shows the events that led to the plot for the game that started the survival-horror genre.

This game also introduced a new “partner zapping” system, which enabled players to switch between controlling either ex-convict Billy Coen or Bravo Team member Rebecca Chambers to solve puzzles and use their unique abilities.

According to Capcom, the digital title will also include new features: an alternate modern control system, and a brand new Wesker Mode which will enable players to play the game as the series' shade-wearing infamous villain.

In addition, the game company said that players who will pre-order the game will receive bonuses: an exclusive set of costumes that features Billy as a member of the Wolf Force and Rebecca as a cheerleader (as seen in “Resident Evil: Deadly Silence”).

The pack will also include a specially designed in-game shirt for Rebecca. These bonuses, however, are not available for the Xbox 360 version.

“Resident Evil Zero” HD Remaster can be purchased digitally for $19.99.
