'Rise of the Tomb Raider': 'Baba Yaga' DLC to Come Early Next Year for Xbox Consoles

Microsoft has announced that the first DLC for the game "Rise of the Tomb Raider" entitled "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" will be released in the early part of 2016.

According to an Xbox Wire's description of the forthcoming content update, the DLC is adding a storyline with a theme of horror to the game. Microsoft has indicated that this content update is going to set Lara Croft to fight against Baba Yaga, a creature with the resemblance of a witch from Slavic folklore.  Gamers are going to explore the latest world set within the forbidden forest located in Siberia through DLC.

Based on the trailer of "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch," which was released recently via YouTube, Croft is shown in a scene wandering through the mysterious forest while taking on the  new groups of enemies. The trailer showed the hut of Baba Yaga moving across the land through its two vast chicken legs, like the ones in the folklore.

Aside from new explorations, the gamers may also get the new outfit and bow for Croft. The content update is also expected to provide hours of gameplay that focuses on a mystery revolving around Baba Yaga. No mention has been made by Microsoft regarding the specific release date, but stated that the game will be available in the early start of 2016.  IGN reported that the DLC may be released in the month of January. The gamers who were able to buy a Season Pass of the game "Rise of the Tomb Raider" for Xbox consoles are going to immediately get the content update the moment it has been released.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" is set to debut on the PC in the early part of 2016. On the other hand, the PlayStation 4 users may wait until the last quarter of 2016. . The game is expected to debut for the PC during the first quarter of next year.
