Danish authorities have arrested a robber who stole jewelry from Chinese actress Liu Tao during her stay in Copenhagen.
Liu, who was in Denmark for work, had announced the robbery on her official Weibo account expressing her shock and an urgent call for help.
"Shock! I come to Denmark for working with Danish shoe company Ecco. The entire safe in my hotel room has been stolen while we were out. Inside the safe there are jewelry, watch and little cash (in total worth 4 million Yuan.) This is terrible. We need help!", Liu posted on Weibo.

Liu's post quickly got shared 60,000 times and picked up 30,000 comments, promting the Royal Danish Embassy to respond, also on the Chinese microblog site, and immediately dispatched help for the actress and linking up with China's Ambassador to Denmark, Liu Biwei.
Shortly after, Copenhagen police announced on Twitter that they had arrested the suspect, a 33-year old Polish man who was getting ready to board a ferry to Germany.
The next day, Liu attended the court hearing where the suspect promptly admitted to the theft.
He narrated to the Danish court how he used a metal tool to break into Liu's hotel room at the First Hotel Kong Frederick in Copenhagen, stole the actress' jewelry safe and opened it near one of Copenhagen's lakes.
Despite her shock, Liu recovered her stolen jewelry safe and updated her Weibo post, this time expressing her gratitude to the Copenhagen police and Chinese ambassador in Denmark.
