The world's first and only eight division champion Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao has postponed the expected announcement of his final opponent, for his farewell fight on April 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Earlier this week, veteran promoter Bob Arum said that the Filipino boxing icon's opponent would be named during a Top Rank's truTV televised card in San Juan, Puerto Rico. However, the expected announcement has been dropped according to an ESPN report.

"I was asked to tell you on Bob's behalf that, unfortunately, Top Rank will not have an announcement on truTV as originally planned as Manny is not ready to make a decision on his opponent yet," said Sternburg a spokesman for Arum.
According to the Score, Pacquiao, who is due to fight what is supposed to be his final bout this April, is considering three main candidates: WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley Jr. (33-1-1, 13 KO's) and unbeaten WBO junior welterweight titlist and 2014 fighter of the year Terence Crawford (27-0, 19 KO's), both fighters are under the Top Rank Promotions.
Former 140-pound champion British Amir Khan (31-3, 19 KO's) recently fell out of consideration and viewed as an unlikely opponent for Pacquiao due to complicated negotiations.
Timothy Bradley won a highly contested split decision in his first bout with Pacquiao in 2012. He was then beaten by a unanimous decision in their April 2014 rematch. He is coming off a spectacular ninth-round knockout victory over Brandon Rios on November 7.
Crawford, who successfully defended his WBO crown by stopping Dierry Jean in the 10th round knockout victory last October is on vacation and reportedly, will be coming to the fight. Both candidates expected the announcement on Friday night.
But now, both pugilists will be uncertain if they are getting the fight with Pacquiao, who Arum said is guaranteed purse of $20 million regardless of whom he chooses to fight.
Pacquiao plans to fight for the last time in April and run for a senate seat in the coming May 2016 national election in the Philippines.
