Taiwanese-Canadian actor Mark Chao confirmed that he has no plans of personally congratulating fellow actor Vic Chou who just married actress Reen Yu last month.

The two actors were rumored to have been entangled in a rift that greatly affected their friendship.
Mark and Vic got to know each other after topbilling the police drama Black & White in 2009. But their friendship quickly soured after both were nominated for Best Leading Actor in that year's Golden Bell Awards.
Vic was everyone's favorite and was thought to bring home the award but it was Mark who walked off with the win. Vic was believed to have been offended by Mark's win, given that the latter was already an established name while Vic was then only a newcomer.
The two actors avoided crossing each other's path until 2014 when Mark and Vic once again collaborated, this time, with Mark's wife, Chinese actress Gao Yuanyuan, for the film Don't Go Breaking My Heart 2. The two were also spotted at Louis Koo's birthday celebration in October last year and were actually photographed together, the first time since the 2009 Golden Bell Awards.
Vic announced last month that he would be tying the knot with Reen Yu on his Sina Weibo. Mark extended his greetings by posting online, saying: "I send you the sincerest blessings from the South Pole. I hope you two are happy and blissful and live to a ripe old age together."
Mark also made it known that he and Vic are too busy to see each other, that is why he cannot congratulate him personally.
Mark was in Taiwan for a short while and had already flown back to Beijing on Dec. 10 to shoot scenes for his new movie, Till the End of the World.
Mark recently spent one month in South Pole, an experience that according to him was enjoyable albeit difficult. In fact, the actor had to endure blindness, frostbite, and sunburn.
