WWE SummerSlam 2014 was a hit from China to Chicago with the likes of John Cena and Brock Lesnar making fans forget the worries of the world with such concerns as Louisville Purge, Darren Wilson, Jennifer Lawrence and Rush Limbaugh.
WWE and it's mixed martial arts companion UFC have been building momentum in China. In fact, those still pumped up from Sunday's SummerSlam extravaganza on Monday are turning their attention to the Venetian Macau.

The Venetian Macau's UFC international event is available on Fight Pass. It features the controversial UFC battle between Cung Le and Michael Bisping. Danny Mitchell meets Wang Sai in a so-called preliminary main event before the actual main event. Another key fight pits Wang Anyng against Yuta Sasaki.
However, it's SummerSlam 2014 that everyone was talking today before UFC takes center stage. Staples Center hosted the wild and wooly affair during which -- spoiler alert if your household recorded it for later who knows why -- Brock Lesnar ascended to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in an epic battle.
Lesnar's grand victory was one of three title fights during which the championship belts found new ownership. Lesnar triumphed over John Cena in a total humiliation. WWE and Vince McMahon have been building up to this for a long time with fans tired of Cena's supremacy finally getting their wish. He was dethroned with maximum prejudice and damage.
WWE medical personnel spent a long time administering to Cena after the fight. He continued to stagger later and was said to have suffered a concussion during the battle royale.
Lesnar v. Cena broke the WWE SummerSlam 2014 mold alright. Fans are still talking, and reeling, from the massive display of power and prejudice evinced by a fight that exceeded even its hype of which there was plenty.
Cena took a big beating at the hands of Lesnar. Fans had become accustomed to Cena beating the odds and staging amazing comebacks. Not so this time as he endured 20 minutes of manhandling and decimation courtesy of the massive Lesnar who mauled the mauler from head to toes.
Utilizing the classic F-5 move he used to devastate the Undertaker, demolishing the Undertaker's unbeaten run during April's WrestleMania, Lesnar turned the trick on Cena with three -- count 'em, three - F-5 moves body slam moves to finish off the former champion. Those were among at least 30 F-5s Lesnar inflicted on Cena during the match.
