The Chicago crowd was ecstatic when Derrick Rose appeared in his first game at the United Center since tearing his medial meniscus nine months earlier - as Team USA went on to beat Brazil 95-78 in an exhibition game on Saturday night.

Derrick Rose has unfortunately been plagued with injuries over the past two years.

The first was a devastating torn ACL injury in his left knee April of 2012, in which Rose was out nearly a year and a half recovering. Fast forward to November of 2013 - Rose tore the medial meniscus in his other knee after only playing 10 games and was out the rest of the season yet again.

Now Derrick Rose is finally recovered again while showing encouraging signs of being healthy. He's shown flashes of great speed and athleticism and looks like he hasn't lost a step - as he runs coast to coast and lays it in to beat the buzzer in less than 5 seconds.

Although he only scored seven points during 24 minutes of action in the exhibition game with Brazil, Chicago fans were just happy to see Rose back on the court again. As soon as Rose was introduced before the game, the "MVP!" chants began to circulate from fans across the sold-out United Center.

"When I was out there they wanted me to shoot every ball," Rose said with a laugh.

Rose stole the spotlight, but Anthony Davis was definitely the star of the game Saturday night.

Filled with monster highlight-reel slam-dunks, blocked shots and tremendous hustle diving for balls out of bounds, Davis carried Team USA with 20 points playing great basketball at both ends of the floor.

Anthony Davis should be a key part to Team USA going forward considering their lack of depth in the frontcourt and his unique athletic ability for a big man.

Overall it was a great night for Team USA. The World Cup of Basketball is set to begin Aug 30 in Spain.
