Premier League giant Manchester United FC is reportedly preparing for a spending spree next summer as they plan separate moves for La Liga superstars Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Neymar.

Caught Offside reported the Red Devils' intention as van Gaal is said to have received "a substantial amount of money for new transfers next year" from United's officials.

Three-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo is said to be the 64-year-old Dutch manager's primary target as the Portugal captain "has been heavily linked with an exit from the Bernabeu amid rumors that he is unhappy in the Spanish capital".

Aside from United, Ligue 1 champions Paris-Saint Germain are also setting their sights on the 30-year-old forward.

Ronaldo's Real Madrid teammate and Wales international Gareth Bale is another target for van Gaal.

The 26-year-old winger has been speculated to a move back to England last summer, specifically at the Old Trafford, but no deals have flourished between Los Blancos and United until the window closed on September 1st.

Lastly, van Gaal's third target is FC Barcelona's Neymar, who is allegedly unhappy right now in Spain because of recent controversies and allegations regarding his paying of taxes.

The 23-year-old Brazilian captain is considered by many as arguably one of the top three footballers in the world today together with Ronaldo and his Barça teammate Lionel Messi so it would be safe to assume that the Catalonia residents are going to do everything they can to keep him in their side.

All three targets are potential world record-breaking transfer deals if any one of them would push through.

Meanwhile, Daily Mail Online's Pete Jenson indicated that Ronaldo is more likely to be dealt next summer than his teammate Bale.

Jenson said that "Bale is holding out at Real Madrid knowing that it will be easier for him at the Bernabeu once Ronaldo has moved on" and Los Blancos "would rather sell Ronaldo" than the Welshman, assuming that Bale does not request a transfer.

According to the report, other top prospects for United are Barça's Messi and Luis Suárez, Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller, Juventus' Paul Pogba, Real Madrid's James Rodriguez, and PSG's Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
