Kobe Bryant recently helped unveil the first-ever touch-sensitive LCD basketball court that's now located in Shanghai, China.
The LCD basketball court will be called "House of Mamba" in honor of Kobe Bryant's nickname "Black Mamba," which was built in collaboration with the international brand Nike and innovation company AKQA.

The idea and innovation behind the LCD basketball court is quite amazing to say the least. Each square inch of the court has motion sensors built in that can individually track every player's movements.
Players will be able to do a multitude of authentic basketball drills and plays while the LCD guides or tracks their movement - allowing a player to see exactly what he can do to improve much easier.
This amazing innovation will first be utilized by Nike's "Rise Campaign," which is a summer-long competition of some of the best young basketball players in China. The campaign focuses on the importance of believing in yourself and chasing your dreams.
At the beginning, thousands of young aspiring ballers submitted a 30-second basketball-related video, and 30 of the best were eventually chosen.
Kobe Bryant recently took to the new LCD court while helping out the 30 selected players with tips and tricks, as well as even playing some one-on-one.
"My first experience on the LED floor, it's pretty umm...I didn't even know that was possible," Kobe Bryant said describing the court. "It's amazing what can be done nowadays. I think the potential and possibilities for the floor are endless."
The court could even be used for something other than just basketball - as the LCD court also shows elaborate graphics and videos, which can be used for a variety of events.
Thanks to Nike and AKQA for creating something new and astounding that could potentially help shape a whole new era of entertainment in the future.
