Star Wars: The Force Awakens Google Cardboard headset is an exclusive limited offer and available on the official Google stores. Google is giving away the merchandise for free which means fans can have the limited item without any expense along with the shipping.

Google is continuing to support Lucas Film by is giving away its Cardboard virtual reality phone holders that feature designs from the latest movie. Fans can choose variety of headset designs such as droids R2-D2, BB-8, villainous KyloRen and a First Order Stormtrooper.
To have this merchandise, fans needed to select first their favourite designs. After selecting a desirable item they are obliged to give their personal information to Google. Finally, after filling up the necessary information the company will ship the item for free. The normal price for this cardboard headset from a third-party is estimated price around $15 to $25.
Fans could only pick one cardboard headset per Google account on Google Store.
For those who do not know about the Google cardboard headset, Google Cardboard is the company's new technology that will turn simple smartphones into a basic virtual reality goggles. Basically, the name Cardboard comes from the device itself since the phone holder is made out of the cheap packaging material.
Google has often given away Cardboard on its online store and at some Google events. This is the first time the company is using Cardboard as a way of marketing strategy for something like a film. Many fans were excited about the idea since virtual reality feature is such a hot concept today and Lucas Film in their latest Star Wars movie is using VR technology as well.
'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' will debut in theatres worldwide this coming Dec. 18.
