Ruco Chan will have to buy a new cabinet to display all his trophies including the Yahoo's Television "Male Artist of the Year" award that he recently received.

In the recent Yahoo Asia Buzz Awards 2015 which was held on Thursday, Dec. 10, people gathered to witness the recognition of the most popular artists and entertainment productions based on Yahoo Hong Kong's search results, Jayne Stars reports.

Due to his exceptional performance in the TVB's anniversary drama Captain of Destiny, Ruco Chan was crowned the "Favorite TVB Actor in Singapore and Malaysia."

Ruco was asked in an interview if he is now more confident to be the next TV king in the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards. "Not really, but this year has been a year of great harvest. Many unthinkable things have happened," he said. Ruco then added jokingly, "I think I need to buy a new shelf for these trophies."

Reporters suggested that Ruco should buy another house to store his trophies. He responded, "I've always wanted to buy a new house, but I need to do more research."

TVB Anniversary Award is regarded as Hong Kong's equivalent of the Emmy Awards. Ruco Chan, Anthony Wong, Wayne Lai, Bobby Au Yeung and more will have to compete for TVB's Best Actor award.

Ruco's response after Anthony Wong's name was mentioned as one of his rivals in TVB's Best Actor award: "He's a god!" Ruco said that he appreciates being nominated with Wong.

Both actors have teamed up for some movies in the past when Ruco was just starting with his career. "Unfortunately, I couldn't take part in Lord of Shanghai It would have been perfect for me. I would be able to learn more from him," he added.
