LeTV LeMax Pro: New Smartphone with Snapdragon 820 SoC and 21MP Camera

Chinese online video company LeTV is preparing to launch its latest smartphone that will come with Qualcomm's latest and most powerful processor, the Snapdragon 820 chipset, along with other very impressive specs.

Named the LeTV LeMax Pro, the smartphone recently went through the AnTuTu benchmark test, followed by its appearance on the GFXBench website.

The LeTV LeMax Pro earned an amazing 133,357 score on the AnTuTu test, which tops the scores posted by Samsung's latest Exynos 8890 chipset, and Huawei's latest Kirin 950 processor, according to Phone Arena.

Other devices that are expected to come with the Snapdragon 820 SoC include Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S7 and Xiaomi's latest Mi 5 smartphone, both are expected to be launched by early 2016.

In terms of the other features, the LeTV LeMax Pro is expected to sport a 5.5-inch display screen with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (QHD). The phone will run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, and will have a powerful 21 megapixel rear camera and a 4 megapixel Ultrapixel front-facing unit.

The primary camera comes with a flash, 4K video recording, autofocus capability, face detection, HDR photo and touch focus feature.

In addition to the Snapdragon 820 chipset, the handset will pack a quad-core 2.1GHz CPU, an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit, 4GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of built-in memory storage, according to GFXBench. Other specs include support for GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity.

Since the LeMax Pro has been benchmarked, the device could soon make its way into the Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center (TENAA) in China.

Previously, LeTV launched three high-end smartphones, called the Le One, the Le One Pro, and the Le Max phone, in the Chinese market. These handsets are said to be the first in the world to have USB Type C ports.
