The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly shopping one of their young centers, Miles Plumlee, as the unofficial "trade season" opens this Tuesday and one of the team's potential trade partners is rumored to be the Toronto Raptors.

Bleacher Report's Mike Norris confirmed that the 27-year-old Plumlee, a former Duke Standout and elder brother of Brooklyn Nets' Mason, is currently on the trading block as the Bucks now find him dispensable upon the acquisition of star center Greg Monroe during the offseason.

Plumlee used to be a resident starter for his previous team, the Phoenix Suns, from 2013 to February of this year, but has become a bench player in Jason Kidd's rotation since Milwaukee acquired him during last season's trade deadline.

The Fort Wayne native played 19 games for the Bucks late last season then only 15 out of 25 games in the current one, averaging only 6.3 minutes per game. He used to average up to 24.6 minutes per game in Phoenix.

His dwindling minutes is a clear sign that he is not included in Milwaukee's long-term plans and that he could be used as a trade chip his midseason.

Fansided's Patrick Morgan proposed a trade with the Toronto Raptors to provide a win-win situation for all parties concerned as the Canadian team tries to move on from center Jonas Valanciunas' injury.

Morgan noted that Plumlee is "a better starting option than (Bismack) Biyombo as Valanciunas recovers from his injury (he's expected to miss at least four or five more weeks), he's also a better backup than Biyombo any day of the week".

The Raptors get the player they need to stabilize a shaky frontcourt rotation while the Bucks will be able to streamline their own big men rotation and get some slight salary relief as they are rumored to be joining the Kevin Durant sweepstakes next summer.

More importantly, Plumlee gets to develop to his full potential with the minutes he is certain to have under Dwayne Casey's system.

However, it is still unclear what assets can Toronto offer Milwaukee to make the deal push through. Perhaps James Johnson or Lucas Nogueira plus a future draft pick would suffice.
