(Photo : Reuters) The Transformers franchise is undergoing a pretty big revamp at the moment.
Although it has long been expected, we now know with absolute certainty that the "Good Will Hunting" star Mark Wahlberg will return to the Transformers franchise for its fifth installment. At the premiere of his new comedy movie, Daddy's Home, the actor confirmed that he will be back for "Transformers 5."

In the early part of the movie, "Transformers: Age of Extinction," the Dinobots were seen as prisoners aboard Lockdown's ship. Optimus Prime later freed the four Dinobots. However, they did not immediately agree to help save the Earth until Prime was able to defeat Grimlock in single combat. Grimlock, Slag, Strafe, and Scorn became part of the Autobot team.
According to Screen Rant, the Dinobots will return to help Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) prevent another threat against Earth. There is a tendency that there will be an additional Dinobots introduced in the fifth installment of film. There were only four in the fourth film but the official toy line included three others: Slag, Slash, and Snarl.
The Dinobots in the films have not shown the ability to speak, unlike the previous incarnations. But this perhaps may change in Transformers 5.
However, this will only be one half of the story as it is greatly speculated that the rest of the film will not take place on Earth. The other half of the film will happen in space, focusing mostly on Optimus Prime as he seeks out the Quintessons
Additionally, there have been speculations that Megan Fox and Shia LeBeouf are going to be featured in the sequel. Though there were no confirmations with regards to this. On the other hand, regarding directing the film, Micheal Bay expressed in his Twitter account that he just met with producer Steven Spielberg and the deal has not yet been finalized.
Transformers 5, which is set to begin filming in early 2016, is currently untitled.
