A small part of NIGO's Star Wars collection was put up for sale this past Friday at Sotheby's New York. The auction was dubbed as the "Return of the NIGO". All of the 600 items - from lightsabers to cookie jars - were sold for more than $500,000.

Among the items sold, the top selling one was a pristine multipack of seven figures from "The Empire Strikes Back" which was allegedly sold exclusively in Sears supermarket in Canada. It was sold for a massive amount of $32,500 which is three times more it's expected to sell. The set features Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissia.

The next big seller was a glorified 1977 store display from an "Early Bird Certificate Package" that was sold for $20,000. It is among the last remaining five in existence. that the lightsaber was prone to breaking. The production was then stopped. The one sold in New York is among the 20 remaining left in the world.

Another big seller was Yak Face. A creature from Jabba's barge in the "Return of the Jedi", it was sold for $7,250 for appearing barely as an extra on a scene.

Of course, the key value of all these items is their seemingly untouched condition.
