The recent launch of "Fallout 4" was a huge success. Now, fans of the action packed game series are getting excited once again with the upcoming expansion in 2016.

"Fallout's" game director Todd Howard, in a recent interview hinted about the company's plans for a downloadable content, saying that there will be an ongoing content that is going well deep into next year. The company is yet to release any detail regarding the expansions that will be included or how it will be linked to the current "Fallout 4" storyline.

Howard explained that the fans' opinions and feedback will have a huge role in the decision making process of the DLC production. What this means is that while "Fallout 4" is well received by fans and everyone in the gaming community, the additional content that will be released next year will provide the elements that many gamers feel it needs.

The "Fallout 4" game is presumed to have just as many DLC content as the game series' previous instalments. "Fallout 3" had five additional DLC packs, while "Fallout: New Vegas" had six. This can only mean that 2016 is going to be a year filled with excitement for gamers who are eager to receive "Fallout 4" updates. This is especially true since the gamers finally have the option to create their own settlement that opens up to several new and wide-ranging directions for developers to consider as they create the expansions.

"Fallout 4" was rolled out on Nov. 10 2015 with its first expansion pack expected early next year.
