Nintendo has announced that the popular arcade Pokemon fighting game called 'Pokkén Tournament' is getting a Wii U bundle along with a special controller.

Pokkén Tournament started as an arcade game, but later on built a tremendous amount of hype among fans of the series. Due to its popularity, Nintendo is porting Pokkén Tournament to another platform and that is the Nintendo Wii U. According to Nintendo, the franchise is not as far from dead since its fan base is still thriving, active, and waiting for the next installment that will surpass the classics franchise.

The Wii U bundle and the special controller will be available first in Japan. According to Nintendo, they will release the bundle in the United States if the combination proves to be successful.  This move might be the time for the company to bring out another hit for the franchise.

The Pokkén Tournament Wii U Bundle includes a genuine copy of the game itself, a special booklet, and a Dark Mewtwo amiibo card. The bundle also includes a special controller specifically designed for the Pokkén Tournament game. The controller was design and created similar to the arcade arrangement of buttons. Instead of the traditional movements of the analog sticks, the controller feature a directional buttons, four action buttons, and two trigger buttons.

Nintendo revealed that the bundle will be available in Japan on March 18, 2016. The company is also planning to release the Pokkén Tournament with its Wii U bundle worldwide from U.S. and Europe in the same year. However, Nintendo has not yet revealed the launch date for these countries.

Nintendo's Pokkén Tournament Wii U Bundle will be available next spring with the price of 36,800 yen or approximately $300. Meanwhile, Nintendo is still continuing the hype as they released another trailer of the highly anticipated game that can be found in the popular video sharing site YouTube.
