Hong Kong actress and former beauty queen Aimee Chan is reportedly in a cold war with actor husband Moses Chan for not allowing her to go back to work after her maternity leave.

The 33-year old actress has been on maternity leave since giving birth to their son Aiden Joshua Chan eight months ago. The Miss Hong Kong 2006 reportedly hasn't gone back to work since.

Aimee left show business last year to prepare for the coming of her first child with Moses, but before going on hiatus, the actress expressed her keen interest in working with a producer she has worked with before for an upcoming drama.

But Moses reportedly rejected the idea of his wife working for the drama, which is ironic since the 'Heart of Greed' actor has been quite vocal about his support for Aimee's showbiz career.

According to sources, the 43-year old actor has expressed his opinion that their son, Aiden Joshua, is only eight months old and is still in need of attention and care from his mother. The actor allegedly disapproved of the notion that Aimee will be leaving their son at home for long periods of time while filming the new drama.

The situation was aggravated by Aimee's alleged refusal to have a second child. This purportedly made Moses very angry, since he has already expressed his hopes to have another child within the next two years.

The couple's opposing views on having children seemed to be adding more strain to their relationship. Moses was said to be persistent about having more children while Aimee does not want more due to her opinon that the educational system is not good and too stressful for children to handle.

Despite the rumors surrounding the couple's marriage, Moses was said to have employed two helpers for Aimee as she was said to have been inseparable from her son who is still being breast-fed.

Additionally, Aimee was said to be fussing about which kindergarten they should choose for the primary education of their child, also adding to the stress between the couple.

The couple has yet to clarify whether or not the rumors are true.
