With questions hang in the air as if the free-agent slugger Chris Davis will stay or not? The Baltimore Orioles have reached a two-year, $7 million deal with 27 years old outfielder Hyun-soo Kim of South Korea.

The agreement, which was first reported by the Baltimore Sun, is pending medical review. It will address three of Oriole's biggest offseason requirements by giving them a corner outfielder, a left-handed bat, and a player who will significantly upgrade the team's ability to get on base.

Hyun-soo Kim is currently considered to be one of the best hitters and most durable players in the Korean Baseball Organization. He bats left-handed and throws right-handed.

According to a report of The Baltimore Sun, the Korean outfielder batted .326 with a .438 on-base percentage. He registered 28 home runs and 128 RBIs last 2014 while playing in 141 of the Doosan Bears' 144 games. Kim has been tagged as Korea's Iron Man for playing in most games in each of his almost 10 seasons with the Bears.

Kim was not subject to the posting process; in which teams have to bid for the right to negotiate a contract with a player because he already achieved international free agency with the length of his career in Korea.

Kim is a career .318 hitter with a lifetime on-base percentage of .406. He walked 101 times and had 63 strikeouts in 2015 and has had more walks (597) than strikeouts (501) over his career. He is listed as 6 feet 2 and weighs 220 pound by the KBO.

Kim could immediately earn a starting role in the heavy right-handed lineup of the Orioles. They do not have set starting outfielder besides Adam Jones and with slugger Chris Davis unsigned.

Davis turned down a seven-year, $150 million contract offer made by the Orioles last week. One club official said the pending signing of Kim had no bearing on the Orioles' pursuit of Davis or any other player.
