Israel has again ordered air strikes at Hamas targets inside Gaza, in response to three rockets fired into Israel hours before the expiration of a 24-hour extended ceasefire.
The Israel Defense Force said "terrorists"violated the ceasefire by firing into the Beer Sheva area in southern Israel. The rockets caused no injuries in the targeted area, according to the IDF.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the IDF to respond to the rockets, and shortly after 4 p.m., airstrikes were carried out against targets in Gaza.
Speaking for the IDF, Lt. Col. Peter Lerner said, "This continued aggression will be addressed accordingly by the IDF; we will continue striking terror infrastructure, pursuing terrorists, and eliminating terror capabilities in the Gaza Strip, in order to restore security for the State of Israel."
As this developed, the Israeli government has ordered its delegation in Cairo to return home after seeing no progress in the talks.
The Palestinian delegation also acknowledged there was so much difficulty in trying to reach an agreement.
"There hasn't been any progress at all," Azzam al-Ahmed, the lead Palestinian negotiator, told reporters in Cairo. "We hope that every minute in the next 24 hours will be used so we can reach an agreement, or the cycle of violence will continue."
Meanwhile, a Hamas spokesman said the group was not responsible for the rocket attacks that broke the ceasefire.
In a text message to CNN, Sami Abu Zouhri said Hamas was not responsible for the new rocket attacks.
"We have no information about rockets being shot from Gaza to Israel. The aim of the air strikes on Gaza is to stop the negotiations in Cairo. The Israeli occupation bears the responsibility for this," Abu Zouhri said.
A spokesman for the Gaza health department said five Palestinians, including two children, were wounded in an Israeli airstrike in Rafah, Ashraf al Qidra.
Hours after the airstrikes, a thick plume of smoke could be seen rising from a building in southern Gaza apparently hit by an Israeli airstrike.
Under the latest ceasefire extension, the truce was set to expire at midnight Tuesday (5 p.m. ET).
