Singing sensation Jinny Ng proved that she's a music powerhouse after winning yet again the the Song of the Year title at TVB's annual Jade Sold Gold Music Awards last weekend.
Her song "The Secret of Tears" easily swept her to success despite strong competition from Liza Wang's hot favorite "Limelight Years."

The Gold Song Gold Award is the highest honor bestowed to a singer in the awards ceremony. This is the second time that Jinny has reaped the honor.
The 23-year-old performer, however, seems widely unrecognized by netizens. Rumors spreading online say that the artist won the award only because she agreed to renew her TVB contract to another five years. Sort of an appeasement for her. However, the station pointed out that Jinny has already been with the studio for years.
"The contract was extended a long time ago. It has nothing to do with exchanging awards," Jinny clarified.
"The award was determined by results from the TVB Fun app and the public opinion program. Of course, singers who didn't attend the awards show didn't win anything. An accounting firm also verified the votes and points, so I don't think it has anything to with my contract," she explained.
However, Jinny did not clarify whether or not she really agreed to extend her contract. If true, this would give her a total of eight years with the station. The singer remains mum about her dealings with TVB because she said it is a confidential matter that she is not in a position to disclose.
