Ellen Degeneres and wife, "Arrested Development" actress Portia De Rossi, just celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary with a simple message written in the sky. The message, done through sky-writing, simply spelled out "Six".

The 56-year old comedian posted a photo on Twitter with the caption, "Look what my wife did for our wedding anniversary. Six!"

Followers of the talk show host-comedian retweeted the post 10,448 times and was added as a favorite by 67,637 users.

The grand and very sweet gesture comes amid rumors that the two are going through marital problems and were on the brink of a divorce. The beloved talk show host was urged to address the rumors, joking, "Apparently she's demanding US$220 million! I'll give it to her, I don't care - she doesn't have to leave me..."

Nasty rumors of an impending divorce comes after allegations of cheating on De Rossi's part, constant squabbling and rehab stints.

However, a source close to the comedian shared that Degeneres has no intentions of leaving the marriage, and will continue to support De Rossi in any way she can.

The recent purchase of a ritzy Beverly Hills condo seems to have put the issue to rest, with the insider sharing, "It's a good sign that they are going to stay together. Ellen and Portia have always loved working on a home project together!"

The two have been together since 2004 and got married in August 2008, after California overturned its ban on same-sex marriages, but before it went up for a vote as Proposition 8 on November 4 of that year, which made the Supreme Court rule that the marriage was binding.

De Rossi successfully managed to legally change her name to Portia Lee James Degeneres in 2010.
