How To Dispose A Human Body: Erin Corwin Murder Suspect Consults The Internet

Christopher Lee (L) was charged for the murder of his lover, Erin Corwin (R).
Murder suspect Christopher Lee, a former Marine who allegedly killed his lover and disposed her body in an abandoned California mine shaft, had been looking into ways on how to get rid of a human body, a report from the sheriff's investigator revealed.
Lee, 24, confessed to having conducted Internet searches connected with human body disposal. Apart from these searches, a witness informed investigators that Lee sought his advice on "what was the best way to dispose of a human body," disclosed a document from a sheriff's investigator submitted in San Bernardino County Superior Court. These information were used in support of an arrest warrant against Lee.

Investigators also recovered a .22-caliber fired casings and rebar from place where the body of Erin Corwin, 19, was found last Saturday. Authorities shared that the head stamp from the casings matched those found in Lee's automobile and house.
The discovery of the body of Erin Corwin, 19, in an abandoned mine shaft led to the arrest of Lee on Sunday. Reports show that the victim's body was identified with a video camera, which was placed down the 140-foot shaft on federal land close to Twentynine Palms. Corin's husband, Marine Cpl. Jonathan Corwin, was said to be stationed in this area. Lee was arranged to appear in a court in Alaska on Tuesday afternoon.
The prosecutors in California reportedly charged Lee with murder, which was aggravated by the special circumstance of lying in wait. This circumstance may allow the prosecutors to ask for the death penalty, a statement from the district attorney's office in the San Bernardino County explained.
Earlier records showed that Corwin was in the early stages of her pregnancy prior to her disappearance on June 28. In a statement from one of the victim's friends, the unborn child might be Lee's. This notion, according to the witness, made Lee fear that his wife might divorce him and ban him from being with his child. The day after Corwin went missing, her husband contacted the authorities for her search.
