Bosco Wong wants to donate the funeral funds gathered at the wake of his father to charity.

The father's death heavily affected the actor and it seems that he is slowly recovering from grief. In fact, it was noted that his friends had to call him to eat.

Asked about his father's flower business, Bosco explained that he retired long before he died, so he said it doesn't matter anymore.

Bosco said his father only had one wish when he was alive, and that was to keep his family healthy. Bosco revealed that after serious talks with other family members, the money donated after his father's death would be used to help cancer patients.

Bosco decided to take a short break to heal and recover before he resumes work this January.

Prior to his father's death, Bosco was named Mainland China's Most Popular TVB Male Star, although he was already worried about his father's condition then.

"I want to thank all the fans in China. I hope to be able to work both in Hong Kong and the mainland equally. But ultimately, my family is in Hong Kong," Bosco said.

Bosco started out in supporting roles in such dramas as Triumph in the Skies, Find the Light, and Aqua Heroes. He became a star after appearing in Wong Fei Hung - Master of Kung Fu in 2004 and earned critical acclaim for his roles in Wars of In-Laws (2005), Dicey Business (2006), and Lives of Omission (2011). His first movie was Love in Time (2012) and earned acclaim for Golden Brother (2014). Bosco's latest film, Buddy Cops, already in post production, is expected to hit cinemas this year.
