Pato's good performance has led to his name being discussed again around some of the biggest clubs in Europe and Asia. He had been associated with an assortment of European clubs after impressing during a loan spell with Sao Paulo in 2015. The Brazilian international striker is in the form of his career and hit 26 goals in all competitions last year.
Tianjin Quanjian FC, which is under the watch of fellow countryman Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo, is based in Tianjin and competes in the China's second division. The team has been given the go signal to negotiate with their player by his present team.
According to 101 Great Goals, Corinthians were obligated to register the striker for the coming season due to a lack of serious and acceptable offers for the Brazilian footballer previously, but it now seems like they could be finally about to transfer him, which is their aim due to his huge wage demands.
He was included in the line-up and played for the Internacional squad that won the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan. He was the youngest ever player to score in a FIFA-organized competition and broke the record of the legendary Pele.
According Goal, Tianjin will be conducting pre-season training and will open negotiations with Pato while in Brazil. They arrived in Sao Paulo on Sunday.
