An avid rock climber was able to get his girlfriend's sweet "Yes" prior to falling to his death in Yosemite National Park, several hours after he proposed.
Thirty-six-year-old veteran climber Brad Parker fell from Matthes Crest during a solo climb on Saturday as he attempted to reach the peak without the aid of safety ropes.

According to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, Parker and his girlfriend, Jainee Dial climbed to the top of Cathedral Peak together when he asked for her hand in marriage and she accepted.
The newly engaged couple shared the special moment at the peak together, unaware of what would transpire a few hours later.
Still high with happiness, Parker set out on a journey to Tuolumne Meadows to 'free climb' Mathes Crest, around five kilometers from Cathedral Peak.
Witnesses told authorities that they saw a man, later identified to be the 36-year-old avid climber, fall 300 feet from the ridge at around 5:45 p.m.
According to the park's spokesperson Kari Cobb, due to the incident occurring so late in the day, some rescuers had to stay with Parker's lifeless body all night before a helicopter arrived to take it.
Parker's grieving father, Bill Parker, recalled his last conversation with his son.
"What happened is so unbelievable," he told the Press Democrat, adding that he was very excited after getting engaged to the love of his life, citing that it was 'the happiest day of his life.'
According to his father, the deceased climber may have overestimated his endurance as he thinks fatigue played a key role in his son's sudden passing.
Brad Parker was a veteran climber who appeared on the cover of the 2012 issue of California Climber magazine and was known to be an active outdoorsman.
Around 150 people, including family and friends, are still 'stunned' over his unexpected passing, and attended a spontaneous vigil on Monday night in his hometown of Sebastopol.
Some of them even planned to hike to the Cathedral Peak on Tuesday as Parker's father dubbed it as "the only closure" they will be able to have.
