As the first day of the Consumers Electronics Show 2016 gets underway, big revelations are already being made. One of such revelations came from mysterious car manufacturer Faraday Future, who presented what-seems-to-be a crossbreed between Corvette and Batmobile. The company officially launched its sleek concept car called the FFZero1 to the audience. However, many have dubbed the new vehicle as the 'Tesla killer'.

Nick Sampson, the company's vice president, revealed that production for the FFZero1 is anticipated to begin in 2018. The car is designed to project information over the driver's view.

Sampson pointed out that that the FFZero1 car displayed at the CES is not for reproduction,  but simply a model of what is possible. The car's standardized design allows compatibility with other types of electric vehicles also. "It's more an illustration of what is possible' with its underlying tech currently being tested in other cars," he said.

Instead of calling it a 'Tesla Killer', Richard Kim, head of Faraday's global design, described it as 'not of this world' vehicle with a bizarre 'UFO line' design

Rather than bombarding cars with remote controls, Kim's vision is more of an interactive system. He foresees a more intelligent car that has the ability to learn its driver's preferences including temperature and driving style.

Just this month, the company announced its plan of putting up a production plant near Las Vegas worth $1 billion. The company has also revealed that it is being backed by Chinese billionaire Jia Yueting. Jia, dubbed China's Steve Jobs, is ranked as the 17th richest person in China.

"We plan to revolutionise the automobile industry by creating an integrated, intelligent mobility system that protects the earth and improves the living environment of mankind," the Leshi 'Happy TV' CEO wrote on his microblogging site. "We will build the best electric cars to solve the problems of air pollution and traffic jams in China," he added.
