"Some said that I was very brave, and some said I was foolish," Wang said. "They have all asked me if I am able to repeat my life, am I willing to go through again? I want to say that I was very tired at that time. If it is possible, I do not wish to repeat. However, isn't love like this? If you have a chance to love someone, it's worth it!"
Her declaration of her love for Yao moved her fans to tears, but there were also those who slammed her for being open about her relationship. In fact, netizens hit her with harsh remarks, calling her "shameless," and all.
"You still dared to speak when you are the third party!" one netizen had to say.
Upon seeing the response of her detractors, Cyndi was quick to react, personally writing on an online forum to defend herself. "I was never the third party," she wrote.
An official statement has already been issued by her agency on Facebook, defending the star because she was merely expressing her love for Yao without any intentions of causing misinterpretations. The agency also emphasized that it was never Cyndi's intention to break other people's love affair. Furthermore, netizens were urged to be mindful of their comments and refrain from attacking her as they would not hesitate to take legal actions for those who accuse her.
