Former "Desperate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria has moved out of the suburbs of Wisteria Lane and into the bustling streets of New York City.
Longoria is set to star in three episodes of the FOX comedy series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."
The 39-year-old Golden Globe nominee will be taking on the role of Sophia, a stunning defense attorney who catches the eye of Detective Jake Peralta while the two are in court.

The role of Jake Peralta is played by comedian Andy Samberg. Samberg is best known for his successful stint in "Saturday Night Live."
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" has previously cast other familiar faces on television.
Kyra Sedgwick, wife of actor Kevin Bacon and "The Closer" star, played Captain Holt's nemesis, while Patton Oswalt is set to reprise his role as Fire Marshall Boone. Oswalt is famed for his television roles in Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the now-defunct comedy series "King of Queens."
The second season of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" will be premiering in its new timeslot on Sunday, beginning September 28 at 8:30 pm on FOX.
Producers of the show said the new season will see Peralta having to adjust to "normal" life after returning from an undercover assignment.
Actor Andre Braugher, who plays Captain Holt in the series, shared with E! News that Peralta returns to the squad believing that everything has stayed the same. However, things have shifted around in the precinct while he was gone.
One of the major changes that happened to the NYPD is that they had gotten a new commissioner while Peralta was gone. Of course, the new situation will cause much friction between Peralta and the squad and within Peralta himself. And when there's friction, there's hilarity.
"So things are radically changing and Holt is on the cutting edge of this. So the old, stodgy captain wants everything to change and the young, brash detective wants everything to stay the same," Braugher shared.
