Microsoft is the company's direct competitor in the laptop-hybrid category. Lenovo's latest laptop-hybrid called ThinkPad X1 Yoga competes with Microsoft's Surface Pro 4. The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Tablet has as many as three different docks to turn the tablet into more than just a tablet.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga features the world's first OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display screen in a hybrid PC. For those who are not familiar with OLED screen technology, it is a super slim screen that emits great brightness, deep colors, and dark blacks. This technology can be found usually in super-thin big screen TV's and on the expensive gadgets.

ThinkPad X1 Yoga sports a 14-inch 2,560 x1,440 Samsung-made OLED display screen that will provide more crisp images than the conventional LCD screens which have been used in laptops for decades. The laptop is powered by Intel Core i7 processors pair with 16 GB of RAM. It comes with 1TB hard drive storage.

When the ThinkPad X1 is in its Tablet mode, the device will have a 50 percent boost in battery juice for an extra five hours of running time, and a few extra for USB 3.0 and HDMI ports. The laptop has a built-in pico projector, which is capable of projecting 60-inch images out from the bottom of the ThinkPad X1 Tablet useful for visual presentations. In addition, the laptop is capable of 3D printing via Intel's RealSense camera.

To fully take advantage of the ThinkPad X1 capabilities, users must purchase other peripherals such as the 3D camera and the extra battery/port pack for the price of $149 and the pico projector for $279.

The ThinkPad X1 tablet will be available sometime in February at a price of $899 and $1,000.
