Samsung Electronics Co Ltd's new Galaxy S5 smartphone should outsell its predecessor and defy predictions that the South Korean titan's latest model will struggle in a tough market for high-end handsets, Yoon Han-kil, senior vice president of Samsung's product strategy team, told Reuters in an interview.
When Samsung revealed their long awaited smartphone Galaxy S5 during the most recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, many were impressed with its specs which include an excellent battery life.

Here are top 5 Samsung Galaxy S5 battery tips that are interesting enough to consider:
1. Lessen the brightness level
With the Galaxy S5 display packed with lots of pixels, the brighter it is, the more that it can easily drain the battery life of the phone. Consider choosing the Auto adjust screen tone option which allows the phone to handle its own brightness to render extended battery life at all times.
2. Turn off WiFi
When the WiFi option is on, it will search for any available connection that can certainly hurt the Samsung Galaxy S5's battery life the soonest. To turn it off, swipe down from the top part of the screen so as to get to the notifications section where the WiFi tab can be seen. Tap it to turn on or off.
3. Limit Your Display Timeout
It can help extending the battery life by choosing the shortest timeout available for the phone's display to go off. Set it to as low as the 15 second option.
4. Switch off GPS and Bluetooth
Just like the WiFi option, turning off the GPS and Bluetooth features when not in use can help a great deal in saving battery life. It can also be found in the notifications drawer of the phone.
5. Ultra Power Saving Mode
Take advantage of the Ultra Power Saving Mode offered by Samsung Galaxy S5. It actually renders two options of saving battery life with the other called the Power Saving Mode. The only difference is that the S5 will have its overall look in grayscale and be set in a restrictive mode.
Other Samsung Galaxy S5 specs include the fingerprint scanner, 16MP rear camera, 5.1-inch HD display and a built-in heart rate monitor.
