Hong Kong martial arts superstar Jackie Chan, who last year declared that he was retiring from making films during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, now says that he will let his body decide as to whether or not it can take anymore film making.
"When I was 40 years old, every time the media asked me when I was going to retire, I always said maybe in five years, but now I will be turning 60 in just six months, so I decided to see how further my body could go before it tells me to stop," he said.

Chan, who is famous for refusing to hire body doubles to do his stunts, has appeared in more than 100 films and now writes, produces and directs his own films in Asia.
Six months shy of turning 60, the only giveaway for his age are the crows feet around Chan's eyes. He is still in great shape but he refuses to spill his secrets.
As the actor enters his twilight years, he has lamented that Hollywood has a strong typecasting force not just towards himself but also towards his fellow Asian actors.
"Nobody in Hollywood would hire me to make a 'Kramer vs. Kramer' or 'Sound of Music' type of film, it's sad because I am quite a good singer but no one wants to hire me for that. All we think about when we hear my name are all the action packed films I have done outside of Asia." Chan said.
The actor added that he hopes his audience forgives him for now hiring doubles because his body gets really tired after long hours on set.
