Boy group Bro5 member Dominic Ho has made a career leap with his self-titled role in the movie The Gigolo.

Bro5 disbanded after being formed in 2008 following lackluster results. Ho's first foray in acting was in 2012, where he had a small role in Lan Kwai Fong 2 . But his character's short stint in the film proved to be his passport to the movie world. His performance caught the attention of director and producer Wong Jing, who cast him in the 2013 movie, Young and Dangerous: Reloaded. In 2015, he starred in the erotic drama The Gigolo, which turned out to be immensely successful in Hong Kong.

With The Gigolo's success followed Dominic's renewed fame and a boost of his income, which reportedly reached RMB6 million (over $900,000) in the last four months - a majority of which were derived from performances on shows across mainland China. Dominic was allegedly paid at least RMB 60,000 (over $9,000) for every show.

With ever increasing popularity, Dominic's fans couldn't get any crazier with his looks and appeal! In fact, every time the singer-actor goes on stage, fans can't help but shout and yell with joy. One male fan even grabbed his bottom on one of his performances.

"I was in the middle of performing, but then suddenly I felt someone touching my butt," Dominic recalled.

"I turned around and saw a man smiling at me. After laughing for a bit, he ran back downstage and left. I am an actor. Not a gigolo."

Despite Dominic's overwhelming success as an actor, the 27-year-old will never let his of his dream of achieving success as a singer. In between acting commitments, Dominic still finds time to record his upcoming single. The sequel to The Gigolo, The Gigolo 2  will hit cinemas on January 14.
