World Famous Volleyball Coach Lang Ping Marries Chinese Professor

Lang Ping, (also known as Jenny Lang) has married a Chinese professor named Wang Yucheng. Their wedding ceremony was held in Beijing on Saturday, Jan. 16.
Lang Ping is an Olympic Games medalist and the coach of China's Women Volleyball Team. She divorced from her first husband Fan "Frank" Bai, a former Chinese national male handball team player, in 1995. She reportedly became acquainted with Wang Yucheng in recent years, culminating in their decision to get married.

Many sports stars attended the wedding of Lang Ping and Wang Yucheng. Among the attendees was the daughter of Lang Ping, Lydia Bai, a former member of Stanford women's volleyball team and her ex-husband Fan Bai.
Lang Ping started to achieve fame in sports after she led the Chinese National Team to win the Gold Medal over the United States during the 1984 Summer Olympics that was held in Los Angeles, California. She was also a member of the Chinese team that won the World Championship crown in Peru in 1982; winning the World Cup title in 1981 and 1985.
In modern Chinese sports history, Lang is one of the most respected Chinese women and is seen as a cultural icon due to the success she brought to the Chinese Women's Volleyball team in the 1980's. Lang coached the US team that defeated China in 2008 in a sports event hosted in Beijing.
Her husband Wang Yucheng is a religious studies professor at China Academy of Social Science.
