Elva Hsiao Supports Ex-Boyfriend Kai Ko

After being caught in a conflict with the Beijing authorities for an alleged drug use and possession case with Jackie Chan's son Jaycee Chan, Taiwanese actor Kai Ko's former girlfriend, Taiwanese singer Elva Hsiao, has publicly expressed her support for the actor.

Elva Hsiao, Kai Ko's girlfriend of two years, expressed her support by posting on her Weibo account, saying, "Don't you dare give up, okay?" The Taiwanese song bird has also added that the mistake he has done is not enough to blot out the good things he has done.

The 34-year old actress has also offered words of encouragement, telling Kai Ko that his friends are there for him to support him and are waiting for his comeback after his ordeal.

"Maybe the road ahead is shaky, but you will soon see the light that brings peace," Elva Hsiao wrote, further expressing her hopes that Kai Ko would do well again despite of the incident.

Elva Hsiao has been, in turn, commended by netizens, deeming her as a forgiving and understanding individual.

On the other hand, director Giddens Ko who has helped the 23-year old actor achieve stardom through the 2011 film 'You are the Apple of My Eye', stated that he was extremely disappointed of the turn of events, according to a media outlet.

The director claimed that he could not contact the actor and has been worried since as he couldn't get a hold of information regarding the actor's whereabouts as well as details about his arrest. Giddens Ko has been hoping that none of the news he has been hearing about Kai Ko were real.

The director, who seems very fond of Kai Ko, has also expressed that he would give up his directing career if only it would be traded for the actor's good behavior.

Giddens Ko also said that besides being ashamed, he felt angry towards the young actor.

Another individual who has expressed her dismay towards the incident is Kai Ko's co-star in the 2011 film, Michelle Chen, writing on her Weibo post, "He is an idiot."

Kai Ko, who has publicly expressed that he wasn't going to use drugs back in 2012, is facing lighter punishment of 15-day detention, according to a media outlet, compared to that of Jaycee Chan's possible punishment of four years in prison.
