Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan was said to have freaked out after her credit card was declined while she was trying to pay for her bill at a bar in Southampton the previous Saturday.

The 28-year old actress was out partying at an establishment in Southampton with her friend and by the end of the night, she has given her credit card in an attempt to pay for the bill which surmounts to $2,500 for bottle service and a table.

However, Lindsay Lohan' card has been declined which resulted to the actress' embarrassment. The star's friends were said to have chipped in to cover their expenses for the evening while the actress just freaked out, a source told a media outlet.

Based on reports, this incident wasn't the first time the star is struggling with maintaining her lifestyle. In April, the actress reportedly made a $300 purchase at an establishment in Manhattan. This claim was later denied by her representative.

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been living a lavish lifestyle this summer, spending time in resorts in hot spots including Ibiza and the Hamptons.

Other reports say that the actress' last paycheck was from a documentary series on Oprah Winfrey Network worth $2 million.

The 'Mean Girls' actress has just completed her sixth period on rehab and has claimed that her partying days were over. On recent news, she has posted a photo of herself and 'Mean Girls' co-star Tina Fey after they've had a run in, but later deleted it.

Lindsay Lohan's most acclaimed role was when she played Cady Heron in 'Mean Girls' alongside Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried. However, according to sources, Lindsay Lohan hasn't starred in any other movie which earned more over $100,000 since 2007.

Lindsay is scheduled to play the role of the secretary in 'Speed-the-Plow' by David Mamet on September 24.
