The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has definitely hit the world by storm with Hollywood stars from The Biebs to Oprah participating in the bandwagon, raising US$15million. Now, Asian artists are taking on the challenge to spread awareness on Lou Gehrig's disease.

The social media campaign has since gotten viral after Justin Bieber took on the challenge that Pete Frates has started. JB has accepted the challenged after his manager nominated him. Numerous others followed his example and now, it has also gone viral in Asia after Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau was nominated to do the challenge.

 Upon his nomination last Monday, Andy Lau has accepted the challenge and performed it on a rooftop after his return to Hong Kong from Beijing. The superstar was said to have donated US$1million to the LAS Association and nominated Jay Chou, renowned pianist Lang Lang anf sports star So Wa Wai.

Jay Chou has gladly taken on the challenge and nominated Fang Wen Shan who is a lyricist and the Taiwanese boy band Mayday. He has also donated more than US$4,000 for the cause.

In South Korea, K-Pop idols have also taken on the challenge with Super Junior members Leeteuk, Choi Siwon, Lee Donghae and Eunhyuk posting videos of themselves taking on the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Korean K-Pop group f(x) member Amber Liu has also posted a video of herself being poured with ice water over her head two days ago on her Instagram account after being nominated by singer Eric Nam. In turn, she nominated her sister, Min of missA and Simon and Martina of EYK.

After being nominated by ZE:A's Kwanghee, EXO's leader Suho has also accepted the challenge and posted a video of himself through EXO's Sehun's Instagram, nominating said co-member and their senior SM Entertainment artist BoA.

Other celebrities have been nominated to take on the challenge in order to spread the message and help the organization which aids victims of ALS, and we've yet to see their reactions and who they will nominate next.
