Recently, a searing heat wave has occupied almost half of China. The heat wave grills everything wherever it goes without mercy. In Shanghai, the hot weather up to 102F has gone on for the whole month. What kind of heat is it? Let me tell you. Many Chinese netizens try to fry eggs and grill meat using the sun.
Today, a journalist from oriental network gives it a shot. He has a barbecue on a forth platform of a skyscraper. Just over 20 minutes, delicious dishes such as bacon omelet, grilled butter shrimp and fried beef are ready to be served.
Before the experiment, the journalist measures the environmental temperature with a thermometer at first. The mercury in thermometer mounts up to 122F soon.
Then the journalist unwraps a stick of butter on the marble. A few seconds later, the stick of butter melts under the impact of direct sunlight.
The journalist puts several raw beef slices on the metallic railings and marble platform. Two minutes later, oil begins to seep out of the beef slices. Five minutes later, beef slices begin to shrink. The color also changes from bright red to dark red. Around 20 minutes, the beef slices are already medium well with a hint of pink in the very middle of the slices. So the journalist tastes a slice. Wow, it tastes great with a strong butter flavor.
Comparing with beef, shrimp cooks quickly. Shrimps harden after being laid on the marble platform for about six minutes. Around 13 minutes, the fresh shrimps have whitened with a delicious seafood-fragrant smell. Again, the journalist tastes a shrimp. Wow, amazing!
At last, the journalist puts butter, beef, shrimp, eggs, bacon and some other ingredients together into the foil. After half an hour, all the ingredients are well cooked with Shanghai's sunshine. What are you waiting for? Just enjoy the natural and green open-air BBQ without a charcoal flame.
