Taylor Swift says she is no longer enthused over the thought of romance, something quite evident in her latest single "Shake It Off."
Looking back at her past songs and albums, these were mostly about love and being heartbroken. However, she revealed that her latest album called '1989' would be focusing more on having fun as well as having a positive outlook on life. She said these things when interviewed by Fusion.

Swift explains that at this point of her life, she just really wants to be with her friends and to define her life on her own terms. She pointed out that these are her priorities now and these are very much different from what she thought were important a few years back.
The 24-year old singer talked about the positive and major changes she has been doing in her life for the past years. She narrated that she decided to spend her time in New York and that was a big step for her. Another was cutting her hair which people knew her from - those long gold locks were cut and she said that it's part of the positive changes she was taking.
She also acknowledged the presence of this group of friends around her who are all very strong, beautiful, and smart and continue to push her and challenge her to do better. However, she noted that her songs won't be like a "best friends' anthem", as she has called it, but her life is definitely centered on her friends as of the moment.
Swift also talked about the challenges that everyone goes through and that her songs will be trying to let those issues surface.
