After Warner Bros. announced that Benedict Cumberbatch will be joining the new "Jungle Book" movie, the studio finally revealed the other cast members who will take part in the flick.

Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett will be joining the cast of "Jungle Book: Origins".

The story, based of Rudyard Kipling's classic book, revolves around Mowgli, a human boy who was raised by wolves, and his jungle adventures, which include befriending other animals and finding an enemy in the predatory tiger, Shere Khan, voiced by Cumberbatch.

Bale will be voicing the character of Bagheera the panther, while Blanchett will lend her vocals to Kaa the devious python.

Naomie Harris, Tom Hollander, Eddie Marsan and Peter Mullan will be voicing other animals in the movie.

The young actor Rohan Chand will play the human boy Mowgli.

The movie, directed by actor Andy Serkis of "Lord of the Rings" fame, will be a mix of CG animation, motion capture and live action. Serkis will also be lending his voice to the charcter of Baloo the bear. This will be Serkis' directorial debut.

Serkis' version of the "Jungle Book" was adapted to script by Callie Kloves.  

Steve Kloves, Callie's father, and Jonathan Cavendish will serve as producers of the movie.

Another version of the classic story will be done by Disney under the directorship of Jon Favreau of "Iron Man" fame. The said movie will premiere in theaters next year, while Serkis' version will open in 2016.

In Favreau's adaptation, Idris Alba will be voicing Shere Khan, Bill Murray will be voicing Baloo, Scarlett Johanssen will be lending her vocals to Kaa and Ben Kingsley will be the voice of Bagheer.

With Warner Bros casting big names for the "Jungle Book" movie, all signs point to the studio prepping to go head to head with Disney.
