'Dancing with the Stars' Update: Julianne Hough Could Return as New Full-Time Judge

Julianne Hough has been offered a position as a fourth judge on the 19th season of "Dancing With the Stars." The pro dancer, who also joined the show as a contestant and has now taken on movie roles, will be added as a full-time member of the panel.
Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Toniolo will remain as current judges on the upcoming season.

According to insiders for the show, Hough has not yet signed her name on any contract and has not made the final decision of taking on the role as a panelist.
Rob Wade, "DWTS" showrunner, told E! News about wanting to have all of the three judges come back along with a new full-time panelist who is up to the task.
"We want all those three to come back," Wade said. "I think the guest judges worked really well last season. I think there's arguments for adding to the panel and stuff, but certainly not subtracting."
Wade also mentioned about how the three judges' chemistry has been making it challenging to find a new addition to the panel.
"And when you have three people like that, who are not only on-camera so great, but off-camera so great, you don't really want to mess with it," he added.
This will not be Hough's first time as a member of the table on "DWTS"; in seasons 17 and 18, she also came back to the show as a guest judge. However, this will be the first time that a new full-time judge will be joining the panel.
A source for Us Magazine described Hough's previous judging performance as "feisty and opinionated", stating that her experiences as a pro dancer on "DWTS" and in past dancing competitions give her the necessary distinct qualifications for becoming a full-time judge.
