Chinese company Zopo has announced that it will be launching its latest smartphone on Feb. 24 at the Mobile World Congress 2016 event in Barcelona, Spain. Zopo said that its Speed 8 smartphone will feature the first Mediatek deca-core processor called Helio X20 Chipset.

Zopo is one of China's big players in the local smartphone market and is also considered one of the first brands to see the importance of venturing into European markets.

Earlier this month, the Chinese company revealed the features of its latest device called Zopo Speed 8. The device has captured the attention of many tech enthusiasts due to its powerful specification.

The Zopo Speed 8 smartphone will feature Mediatek's latest deca-core processor Helio X20 Chipset. According to Zopo, this device will be the first in the world to use a deca-core CPU. In addition, the company claims that this device will support 2K display resolution. In terms of memory, the Speed 8 is powered by 4GB of RAM - large enough to handle multiple apps at one session.

What make this device very interesting is its powerful cameras. It features a Sony IMX320 21-megapixel rear shooter. The rear camera supports PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), capable of fast focus speed, lens coating and camera optimizations. On the other hand, its front camera sports an 8-megapixel shooter.

This smartphone is fueled by a 3600mAh battery and runs an Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The device also supports fingerprint scanning, USB Type C, and NFC.

Meanwhile, Zopo has picked MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo as brand ambassador who will introduce the Speed 8 to the public at the WMC 2016 event.
