(Photo : YouTube) OnePlus' Icons headphone is on sale for just $50.
The new pair of earbuds from the Chinese phone maker OnePlus seems intriguing as it promises a sound quality that outranks even $200 headsets, but it is being sold for just $50.
OnePlus is growing its skills in making phone accessories, while building its name in the world of smartphones. It is expanding out into a new area with the OnePlus Icons earbuds. It already has a large set of smartphone cases, power banks, and cables currently available.

The Icons was a respectable performer from the get-go. A clean, neutralsound with assertive mids and a lack of support in the lower end is provided. If the user is fond of thumpy, aggressive bass, one is just not going to find it here.
A noticeable drop-off that fixes high-pitched vocals and blaring guitar solos is heard. This is obviously going to affect certain tracks, which is impossible to slip after a while. Despite that, one can still get a hearty sense of presence, wishing that the sound stage was more spacious if one listens to lots of high-registered crooners.
One of the best things that the Icons has going for it is style. The Icons is very unique - the buds stick out of a twin-pronged stem to fit into the ears without any twisting or prodding. Although only the stem is made of metal, the whole package feels pretty sturdy for the price with a leather carrying pouch included. This neat little carrying case is provided to keep the Icons safe when not in use.
Icons comes in two sets of swappable tips: larger and smaller ones. The bigger pair adds a degree of noise reduction that makes crossing streets in Midtown traffic tricky. Besides its nice design, sturdy build, and good sound, users can choose between a subdued silver finish and a more bold gold finish to stand out a bit.
A majority of the Icons cable is made of sturdy braided nylon, which will keep the wires inside safe from kinks, cuts, and tears with added benefits of being tangle-free and not transfer the noise of cable rustling around one's clothes into the ears.
