Chinese Basketball Association: Liaoning Flying Leopards, Shandong Golden Stars Continue Winning Runs in Round 34

(Photo : Imagine China) Liaoning Flying Leopards point guard Lester Hudson had 17 points and three assists to help his team defeat the Bayi Rockets, 106-84, at the Youngor Arena in a round 34 game of the 2015-2016 Chinese Basketball Association season on Wednesday.
League-leading Liaoning Flying Leopards and third-running Shandong Golden Stars have both extended their separate winning streaks after pulling off lopsided victories in round 34 of the 2015-2016 Chinese Basketball Association season on Wednesday, Xinhuanet reports.
The Flying Leopards outmatched bottom-two squad Bayi Rockets, 106-84, at the Youngor Arena in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China, prolonging their undefeated run to a remarkable 13 games as they sit atop the current league standings tied with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers with identical 27-7 win-loss records and 61 points.

Five Liaoning players scored in double figures led by former Boston Celtic power forward Shavlik Randolph with 25 points and eight rebounds, followed by another former NBA player, Lester Hudson, who had 17 points and three assists.
Backup guard Liu Zhixuan fired 16 points while starters Hang Dejun and Li Xiaoxu contributed 12 and 10 points each.
Meanwhile, the Golden Stars trounced a hard-fighting Tianjin Gold Lions, 119-97, for their eighth consecutive victory, improving their slate to 26-8 and only a point behind league leaders Liaoning and Xinjiang.
Shandong was spearheaded by 2016 CBA All-Star Game MVP Michael Beasley with an impressive stat line of 25 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists. He was supported by starting center Tao Hanlin, who registered 24 points and five rebounds.
Other Golden Stars players in double-digit scoring figures were American-born Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter with 21, and Li Jingyu and Yang Li with 11 and 10 points respectively.
Liaoning led from start to finish, starting with a 24-18 first quarter attack that increased to 31-20 in the second period to reach the halftime break up by 17 points, 55-38.
The rout continued in the second half as they continued to outscore the Rockets in the third canto, 27-21. The only quarter Bayi was able to outscore the visitors was in the payoff period, where they did it by only a point, 25-24, which sealed the 22-point win.
Shandong also led from start to finish, not surrendering a single quarter to the Gold Lions. They led by a point in a hard-fought first quarter, 27-26, but the next three quarters were victories at 22-14, 31-26, and 39-31 respectively.
