Two Chinese workers were killed in Seoul bridge collapse

According to latest reports from South Korea, a ramp connecting to the Banghwa Bridge over the Han River near Seoul collapsed on July 30th. The accident has killed two Chinese workers, and injured another Chinese worker severely.

South Korea police said the accident happened around 13:08 p.m. on July 30th. When workers were working at the construction site on the ramp of the Banghwa Bridge, heavy equipment fell from the entrance ramp and caused the ramp to collapse. There are four Chinese workers on the bridge at that time. Except for one person uninjured, two other Chinese worker has been confirmed death, and the other one injured seriously.

South Korean police and fire authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. They have controlled the traffic near the region.  

The Banghwa Bridge crosses the Han River in South Korea and connects the Gangseo-gu in Seoul and Goyang in Gyeonggi Province. The bridge was completed in 2000. It is the 27th bridge to span Korea's Han River, and is a balanced arch truss type bridge with a total length of 2,559 meters.
