Choose your side in Star Wars: Commander
The next Star Wars game will see a player fight alongside Princess Leia and Han Solo as allies or against them when he joins Darth Vader's Galactic Empire.
Disney Interactive has teamed up with Lucasfilm Ltd to create the freemium real-time combat strategy game, "Star Wars: Commander," that just hit the shelves.

The game's only available on the App Store for Apple's iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. An Android version is coming in a few weeks.
The first thing you'll probably notice about Star Wars: Commander is how much it might remind you of the hit game, Clash of Clans. With Star Wars: Commander you get to play either as a member of the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire.
Star Wars Commander starts out by creating a base on Tatooine, home planet of Luke Skywalker. Upon learning the basics of the game, players select whether to fight for the rebels or for Darth Vader.
"The natural conflict between Rebel and Empire, light and dark, in Star Wars lends itself nicely to the overall game mechanic," said Matt Fillbrandt, Lucasfilm executive producer.
Players use credits and alloys when building their bases, gaining access to countless vehicles and items from Star Wars lore like the rebels' X-wing fighters and the AT-AT walkers of the Empire.
Lucasfilms has a group of writers creating authentic characters for the games, upcoming movies, and other properties to make sure that everything fits the universe of Star Wars, said Fillbrandt.
These writers are also responsible for writing stories that don't mess the whole story.
