Council on American- Islamic Relations (CAIR) strongly condemned the cruel actions of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) quoting the extremist’s behavior as un-Islamic, reports said.
Reports had indicated that large Muslim communities, including CAIR, and Islamic religious leaders worldwide expressed their strong disapproval toward ISIS's brutality, specifically pertaining to the barbaric execution of American journalist James Foley.

CAIR, the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, announced that the Geneva Conventions, the Quran and the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad do not require any harm to the prisoners.
No excuse or justification is acceptable for ISIS inhumane and murderous actions, CAIR added.
The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) also denounced the pitiless killing of Foley. ISNA President Mohamed Magid declared that the act of murder does not conform to the mainstream teaching of Islam.
Based on some sources, another Muslim group named Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) urged all people to take a stand against extremism.
Extremism is a huge hindrance in preventing Islam’s true message across the world and must be stopped because extremists corrupt all religions as it is written in MPAC’s Declaration Against Extremism.
Reports said MPAC affirmed their strong opposition towards ISIS who betrayed Islam’s teachings. Furthermore, the group pledge to communally criticize and act to prevent all forms of nonconformity.
ISIS is the top enemy of Islam, Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti Sheik Abdulaziz Al al-Sheik said in a statement recently.
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani also expressed his opinion saying the ISIS crimes and threats to innocent Christian Iraqis in Mosul and Nineveh is destroying human civilization, some reports confirmed.
