Serie A side AC Milan has reportedly turned down a $13 million transfer offer from Chinese outfit Beijing Guoan for Brazilian striker Luiz Adriano.
In January 2016, the Rossoneri (AC Milan club's nickname) agreed to an offer from Jiangsu Suning to buy the former Shakhtar Donetsk star for a fee of $16 million. The 28-year-old Brazilian even flew to China to secure his visa and to undergo the necessary medical tests.

All indications were pointing to the switch being completed. Adriano even wore the Jiangsu Suning scarf in front of the media. However, the transfer negotiations collapsed in the last minute and the Brazil national went back to the San Siro-based club.
Luiz Adriano has apparently remained on the radar of Chinese clubs. Beijing Guoan's bid that was reportedly turned down was worth from $11m to $13m, according to Sky Sport Italia.
Their Coach is former Milan boss Alberto Zaccheroni.
Beijing Guoan is a professional Chinese football club that currently competes in the country's highest tier of football. The side is based in the Chaoyang District in Beijing. The Imperial Guards finished fourth place the league's last season.
Recently, the Chinese Super League outfit presented to the media and fans the club's new coach and the side's latest foreign acquisitions.
Beijing Guoan hired the services of the veteran Italian manager Alberto Zaccheroni, the former manager of the AS Milan. Zaccheroni led Japan to qualify for the World Cup finals in Brazil after their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying football match against Australia in Saitama on June 4, 2013.
The 62 years old manager was joined by the latest foreign additions of the side, the best player of Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A Renato Augusto; defensive midfielders from Corinthians, Ralf Teles and Kleber Pinheiro and the Beijing Guoan returnee Egor Krimets from Uzbekistan.
Due to higher salaries and the improved standard of the Chinese Super League, China has become an increasingly alluring destination for international players and coaches.
