On a rainy Friday night, Michael Phelps bagged his first Gold in the 4x200-meter relay and placed fourth in the 100-meter freestyle event at the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Southport.
Appearing for the very first time in International competition since his retirement after the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, the 29-year-old Phelps was back in the Podium to collect a Gold medal along with his teammates.

"It feels amazing," said Phelps. "Good first international meet back."
The 18-time Olympic Gold medalist ran the second leg of the relay and watched teammate Matt McLean overtake Japan's Takeshi Matsuda in the last lap to win the relay.
"There's no better way to finish this... to step up with your teammates and win a gold medal," Phelps added.
The rain was pouring during the finals of the 100-meter freestyle at the Gold Coast Aquatic Center's outdoor pool in Australia.
Australian Cameron McEvoy won the event in 47.82 seconds while American Olympic champion Nathan Adrian (48.30) finished second and recent Commonwealth Games champion James Magnussen (48.36) captured the Bronze.
Phelps clocked in at 48.51 seconds, .06 seconds slower than the time he finished in the qualifying heats early Friday.
"I don't think it was terrible," Phelps said.
Phelps also said that he is "learning all the time" and that he knew what he needs to improve on in order to be more competitive and hopefully land a medal in the world championships next year and also in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The 20-year-old McEvoy led the 50-meter mark and held off Adrian who was fast approaching from behind.
"The outcome was more of a bonus than anything so I'm just so happy with tonight in general," McEvoy said.
McEvoy was competing against Phelps during the second leg of the 4x200 meter relay where they captured the Bronze medal behind Japan.
